Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024, a prominent global initiative dedicated to fostering innovation and empowering entrepreneurs, will be celebrated in Ethiopia from November 18 to November 27. Organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS), GEW 2024 aims to promote inclusivity within the entrepreneurial ecosystem under the theme, "Entrepreneurship is for Everyone." This theme underscores the importance of providing opportunities and resources to entrepreneurs from all backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to the tools needed for success.
The week-long celebration will feature a diverse array of events designed to engage participants from all sectors of Ethiopia’s entrepreneurial community. These events will include high-level policy discussions, training sessions, exhibitions, recognition, and networking opportunities. They will also offer a platform for recognition and knowledge sharing, with the goal of inspiring entrepreneurs and connecting them with industry leaders, investors, and decision-makers.
Regional and National Kickoff
The GEW 2024 celebrations officially began on November, 2024, with a series of activities held at both regional and national levels.
