EDI Concludes Intensive Advisor Training to Drive Result-Based MSME Support

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) concluded an intensive, five-day Counselor-Level Training of Advisors (TOA) program designed to modernize and digitalize its Business Development Services (BDS).

The capacity-building initiative, which ran from July 15–19, 2026, in Adama, brought together 26 Business Advisors. The specialized training equips participants with advanced operational methodologies to better support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

This initiative drives a structural paradigm shift, moving away from traditional, generalized advisory practices toward precise, diagnosis-based, and result-oriented support. Within this new approach, upgrading operational strategies and digital frameworks ensure that local businesses are properly equipped for long-term survival and growth.

Participating advisors echoed these sentiments, noting that the session marks a definitive departure from legacy methods. The updated framework empowers them to focus on enterprise data, tailored diagnostics, and measurable business outcomes for the clients they serve.

As EDI advances its national mandate to foster a resilient and dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, integrating these digital tools and standardized metrics within its advisory network remains a key priority for sustainable economic impact.
