From Public Entrepreneurship to Institutional Transformation: A Leadership Journey for TVT Leaders

From June 11–13, 2026, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) conducted a transformative workshop for leaders of Bole Lemi TVT, building on the foundation laid through the earlier Public Entrepreneurship and Ecosystem Building program.

The workshop marked the next step in helping leaders move from individual entrepreneurial initiatives toward institution-wide transformation.

In an era characterized by rapid technological change, evolving labor markets, and increasing demands for quality service delivery, TVT institutions must continuously adapt and innovate.

The workshop challenged participants to rethink traditional approaches to leadership and explore how entrepreneurial mindsets and systems thinking can help institutions become more agile, collaborative, and impact-driven.

Through practical tools, reflection, and peer learning, participants explored how to break down organizational silos, strengthen collaboration, and address complex challenges from a systems perspective.

The discussions focused on creating institutions that are capable of anticipating change, fostering innovation, and delivering greater value to learners, industry partners, and society.

The workshop also provided leaders with an opportunity to assess progress made since the previous workshop and identify new pathways for institutional growth. By linking leadership, innovation, and systems thinking, participants developed actionable insights for enhancing institutional effectiveness and driving sustainable change.

As Ethiopia continues its efforts to strengthen skills development and workforce competitiveness, empowering TVT leaders with the capabilities to lead transformation remains essential.
