Startup Ecosystem Forum Highlights Vital Role of Entrepreneurs in Ethiopia's Development

The Startup Ecosystem Forum, hosted by EDI in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Skills and GIZ during GEW 2025 ("Together We Build"), was a resounding success on November 21st!

EDI Deputy CEO Boru Shana emphasized, "Startups are fundamental in the development of the country and provide a remedy for the challenges we face."

The event empowered entrepreneurs with insights from the "Demystifying Market Creating Innovation" seminar. The forum also featured Partner Spotlight sessions highlighting programs and opportunities, with contributions from Nebiyou Yirga of the Ethiopian Association of Startup Ecosystem (EASE) and Meseret Warner of Ignite Capital-Investment Advisory.

Inspiring stories from the "Founder's Adventure: Against All Odds" chat featuring Daniel Getachew (Guzo Technologies) and Kidist Amedie (GUARO) were also valuable resources.

The day culminated in a dynamic Investor-Founder Connect session forging crucial connections to accelerate the growth of Ethiopia's innovative ventures. Together, we are building a stronger future!
