Accelerating Entrepreneurship and Innovation across the Corporate Sector to Strengthen Future-Ready Public Problem Solvers and Change Makers

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), in collaboration with the Federal Housing Corporation (FHC), successfully concluded a three-day Executive Master Class titled "Accelerating Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship" in Adama.

Delivered from September 3 to September 5, 2026, the program brought together executive leaders and senior professionals from the FHC under the theme of accelerating entrepreneurship and innovation across the corporate sector to strengthen future-ready public problem solvers and change makers.

The strategic initiative addresses the evolving economic landscape where state enterprises like the FHC play a central role in realizing Ethiopia’s Home-Grown Economic Reform agenda and national transformation goals for 2030.

Designed as an end-to-end framework, the master class equipped leadership with tools spanning discovery, incubation, market testing, and solution delivery—transitioning corporate operations from traditional administrative management toward an agile, opportunity-driven, and future-ready posture.

The learning methodology combined experiential learning with globally recognized frameworks, including Design Sprints, Scenario Planning, and Lean Experimentation.

The curriculum centered on two strategic pillars: Corporate Entrepreneurial Leadership, aimed at cultivating an intrapreneurial mindset and open innovation, and Corporate Innovation, focused on assessing institutional readiness, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), and embedding sustainable innovation systems.

Through practical diagnostic exercises, executive participants developed actionable execution roadmaps to address pressing organizational and public infrastructure challenges.

The completion of the program highlights EDI’s ongoing effort to build institutional capacity and establish vibrant innovation ecosystems across Ethiopia’s corporate and public sectors.
