Parliament Urges Strengthening Entrepreneurial Mindset for National Development

Ethiopia's Parliament stated the need to Strengthen an entrepreneurial mindset nationwide to unlock the country's vast untapped resources. Recognizing this shift as crucial for poverty eradication and accelerated national growth, the House of People's Representatives (HoPR) Speaker, Honorable Tagese Chafo, stressed the importance of breaking free from conventional thinking and enhancing a resource-utilizing approach. This call to action emerged during a discussion held on May 29, 2025, between parliamentary leaders and the senior leadership of the Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS), highlighting the transformative role of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute.

Deputy Speaker, Honorable Lomi Bedo, on her part, emphasized the necessity of continuous institutional capacity building and leveraging national knowledge to address complex challenges. House of People's Representatives (HoPR) Chief Government Whip, Honorable Tesfaye Beljige (PhD), urged a collective drive to change mindsets and foster national prosperity through enhanced creativity, mirroring the efforts of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
