BDS clients often face common challenges within their businesses. EDI has identified key areas where clients require support, including business plan preparation, financial management and accounting assistance, marketing strategies, operations and HR management, as well as business formalization such as licensing and registration. Group counseling sessions, focusing on one of these topics, are conducted and last no longer than four hours. These interactive sessions provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the chosen topic and its practical applicability to businesses in Ethiopia. Led by knowledgeable BDS advisors, the sessions accommodate a maximum of 15 participants. Additionally, specialized group counseling sessions are offered exclusively for women, focusing on negotiation, communication, and assertiveness skills.

One-to-One BDS

Reserved for growth-oriented clients in need of specialized counseling, one-to-one sessions offer personalized support. Upon completion of the EDI training program, clients can apply for one-to-one sessions by submitting a thorough BDS One-to-One Application Form (sample form available in Annex 5).
